Thank you for your interest in the Valley Sports & Spine Clinic Non-Accredited International Spine Fellowship. Our founding physician, Dr. Ethan Colliver, has been in practice for 10 years, has held leadership roles in AAPMR, is an Associate Professor at VCOM, and has taught MSK ultrasound at the national level. Our mission is to provide comprehensive interventional spine, sports and musculoskeletal medicine education to private practice inclined physicians who wish to bring clinical excellence to their careers.

Our main office is in Blacksburg, Virginia, with a satellite office in Dublin, Virginia. We are an outpatient clinic open Monday through Friday.

Our twelve-month PMR fellowship program has an optimal combination of academics and clinical experience within a private practice setting. This program is ideally suited for those of you who seek training in the following:

  • Comprehensive topics for sports and spine care
  • Advanced musculoskeletal exam
  • Advanced Electrodiagnostics
  • Interventional techniques based on SIS guidelines
  • Review of basic and advanced radiographic imaging
  • Advanced MSK ultrasound

  • Practice Management/Building

VSSC will provide training in safe interventional techniques throughout the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Procedures will include transforaminal and interlaminar epidural injections, facet injections (to include C1-2 lateral facet injections), medial branch blocks and ablations, SIJ injections, spinal cord stimulation, platelet rich plasma injections (PRP), ultrasound guided peripheral joint injections, peripheral joint radio frequency ablation (RFA), and botox procedures.
